Any game ideas for me?
Just won some money at the casino and am looking to buy a new game either for Xbox 360 or PC.

Id really like a good MMORPG. I loved FFXI back in the day, but dont much like WoW. I also like RTS type strategy games. Id also like an online aspect (if not entirely online) to the game.

Should I accept this Job Offer?
recently got my MBA and have been going on interviews for some really great jobs. one of these is at a major casino in Las Vegas (an entertainment/strategy role), the other two are online marketing jobs within major movie studios in Los Angeles. I live in Los Angeles.

ok, so i recently received an offer from the Las Vegas company. it’s a solid offer and an interesting job >>> BUT obviously requires a relocation and I’m not sure I want to relocate to Vegas …

the two other good prospects are still in the interview stage. i would need to go back for a second round at both and expect to hear back this week on that.

the Vegas job wants my decision ASAP. they are willing to pay for a hotel for 30 days by the way as part of their “relocation assistance” package.

SO, should I accept the Vegas job and jump ship if one of the other companies makes a solid offer???

i am afraid of saying “no” to Vegas and then not getting offers from the others OR saying “yes” to Vegas and being unethical if i were to bail on them shortly after accepting.

what should I do? i owe Vegas a decision.

I used http://www.gamblingtools.net/vp/vpanalyzer.html to calculate a paltry 92.18% payback. This is a 7.82 house percentage — similar to double-zero roulette!

I could not locate a strategy card for the game.

Do yourself a favor and don’t play. Play online instead at a full pay jacks or better machine, found at any of the Microgaming casinos.

Jacks or Better video poker strategy?
The bars in my area have video poker machines that feature, among other games, Jacks or Better with a pay table that differs from that of any casino, online or not. I would like someone to tell me what the house edge is and, if possible, where I can find the proper strategy for this table without purchasing any software:

Blackjack best strategy is based on the mathematics of the game. It has been tested and refined through computer simulations. When it is followed correctly it reduces the house edge to the minimum, which is usually about one-half of a percent. Minor adjustments are made to basic strategy depending on certain rule variations that the different casinos can chose to use. For example some casinos will allow you to double down after splitting (DOS) and some do not allow it. There are also some changes made to basic strategy for single and multiple deck games.
If you want to be a successful blackjack player you will need to learn basic strategy firstly. Most players start learning by referring to a basic strategy chart. The strategy chart shows you how to play your first two cards based on the dealers up card. Referring back to the Blackjack 101 article, you know that the house gains its edge by the fact that the player must act first. Since the basic strategy chart only deals with the first two cards, you will also need to learn what decisions to make after taking a hit.
Translate the Chart
The best way to do this is to translate the basic strategy chart into plain English that explains how to play a hand with three or more cards. Let’s look at an example:
If your first two cards are and a 5 and a 3 you have a total of eight. The chart tells you to hit. You draw another 3, which gives you a total of eleven. The chart tells you to double on 11 but you can only double on your first two cards. Therefore you must hit.
When we translate the strategy chart into plain English, we use the word “otherwise” when dealing with situations that are different because of multiple cards. If we were to write out the example above it would be: If you have 11 – double, otherwise hit.
How to Play Hard Hands: -A hard hand is two starting cards that do not contain an ace.
If you have eight or less, always hit.
If you have Nine: Double if the dealer has 3 thru 6 – otherwise hit.
If you have Ten : Double if the dealer has 2 thru 9 – otherwise hit.
If you have Eleven: Double if the dealer has 2 thru 10, Hit if dealer has Ace.
If you have Twelve: Hit if the dealer has 2 or 3, Stand if the dealer has 4 thru 6, otherwise hit.
If you have 13- 16: Stand if the dealer has2 thru 6, otherwise hit.
If you have 17 – 21: Always Stand.
How to Play Soft Hands: – A soft hand is when one of your starting hands contains an ace.
If you have Ace 2 or Ace 3: Double if the dealer has 5 or 6 – otherwise hit.
If you have Ace 4 or Ace 5: Double if the dealer has 4 thru 6 – otherwise hit.
If you have Ace 6: Double if the dealer has 3 thru 6 – otherwise hit.
If you have Ace 7: Stand if the dealer has 2, 7 or 8. Double 3 -thru 6 – otherwise hit.
If you have Ace 8 or Ace 9: Always Stand.
How to Play Pairs
If you have a pair of Aces or Eights: Always split.
If you have a pair of twos or threes: Split if the dealer has 2 – 7, otherwise hit.
If you have a pair of fours: Split if the dealer has 5 or 6 – otherwise hit.
If you have a pair of fives: Double if the dealer has 2 thru 9 – otherwise hit.
If you have a pair of sixes: Split if the dealer has 2 thru 6 – otherwise hit.

Hustling sign up bonuses?
Iv been considering attempting hustling some sign up bonuses in such a way that my negetive ev is less than my gain from sign up bonuses while playing an online casino.

I have found this is the terms:

“The Casino reserves the right to annul privileges to promotions and/or in rare cases suspend a player’s account and refund any deposits if upon review of transaction records it is concluded that the player is applying strategies considered to be abusive in nature. This includes playing excluded or banned games before wagering out almost exactly the minimum required on allowed games.”

Has anybody had any trouble with this tactic and this part fo the terms preventing them from cashing out?

At each casino they have different rules with their sign up bonuses. Some only allow you to play slots, and some may let you play other games, but with higher wagering requirements.
Most online casinos are very fair, and unless you do not follow their bonus terms, or do something obvious like bet evenly on black and red in roulette to play through your bonus, they wont give you any trouble.
Personally, I have found from my own experience that it is easier to make small bets to get through a wagering requirement. Some people try to bet it all in a few plays, and in some cases that may work, but from experience, I think the small bets and building a bankroll slowly is the way to go.
